In the new 4×4 Idler Kit we go the SS175 one better. We’ve combined SuperSteer’s Idler Arm Support Assembly with a new Idler & Pitman Brace Kit by Cognito Motorsports. The Brace Kit addresses the second problem of excessive wear you often find with tricked-out 4×4’s or even two-wheel-drive trucks operating in adverse conditions.


The Long-Time Problem

Pitman and idler arm wear has plagued Chevrolet/GMC 4×4’s for years. If you’re just puttering around town, fine. But, if you tool around off-road or subject a vehicle to heavy stress, the failure factor can disappoint you.

If your customer runs a lift kit & big tires, the larger the tires on the vehicle, the faster the parts wear out . . . and other aftermarket fixes have failed to correct it.

OEM factory versions don’t give enough support to the steering system — and that’s what causes pitman & idler arm wear, which leads to replacing worn tires every whipstitch.
