bly (SS175) (pictured left) solves the steering problems. Even if your customer is barreling over hills and dips and gullies in the bush, the SS175 continues to deliver tight, controlled steering. Easy turning. Less hair-raising steering play — and more control. Warranted as long as he owns the vehicle.
In the new 4×4 Idler Kit we go the SS175 one better. We’ve combined SuperSteer’s Idler Arm Support Assembly with a new Idler & Pitman Brace Kit by Cognito Motorsports. The Brace Kit addresses the second problem of excessive wear you often find with tricked-out 4×4’s or even two-wheel-drive trucks operating in adverse conditions.
The Long-Time Problem
Pitman and idler arm wear has plagued Chevrolet/GMC 4×4’s for years. If you’re just puttering around town, fine. But, if you tool around off-road or subject a vehicle to heavy stress, the failure factor can disappoint you.
If your customer runs a lift kit & big tires, the larger the tires on the vehicle, the faster the parts wear out . . . and other aftermarket fixes have failed to correct it.
OEM factory versions don’t give enough support to the steering system — and that’s what causes pitman & idler arm wear, which leads to replacing worn tires every whipstitch.
