This product is a major improvement over factory bell cranks. The new SuperSteer® Bell Crank adds thousands more miles of trouble-free steering than a driver gets from OEM versions.
A factory bell crank uses simple sleeves at the wear points in an attempt to keep the shaft from moving side to side. However, this design actually allows the shaft to move side-to-side excessively. Side move-
ment is a major cause of rut tracking & road wander.
The factory unit also may be hard to rotate — so you get sluggish steering. This sluggishness means less control on rough, narrow roads & in windy conditions — the very time you need it most. The driver may find himself constantly correcting — which brings on driver fatigue.
The SS100 allows no side play because it uses tapered roller bearings that hold the shaft tightly in place. The shaft always rotates easily because it uses Amsoil synthetic grease to cut friction which reduces sluggishness to a minimum. Once assembled, the SS100 is fully sealed to keep out dirt & water. It’s maintenance free.
This design has proven to promote easier steering immediately, more solid control of steering, & less rut tracking & road wander. Best of all, drivers report they can drive more comfortably and for consider-
ably longer intervals without tiring from the stress of constant wheel correction.
